BioCleo first entered military duty when she served under Tir's father, Teo McDohl, during the Succession War. She was the rank of officer. She became a trusted friend of Teo's, and she entered service to his household. Here, she helped raise Tir alongside Ted, Gremio, and Pahn.
At the Magician's Island, Cleo served as a sort of intermediary between Futch and Ted, and she received a fire rune from Leknaat the Seer; she recognized Cleo as someone with great loyalty, someone who would be capable of serving Tir for the war.
Despite her established military career, Cleo was quick to jump ships and join the liberation army, trusting and befriending Odessa almost instantly. She fought alongside Tir's side throughout the war, standing firm regardless of everything. She was with Tir when Gremio died, and she wanted to kill She believed in Pahn when he left to fight Teo, and she wept for Teo's death in the battle.
To distract herself from the death around her, she forced her way into the Neclord battle party. Hix, unused to seeing women in combat, asked her about why she chose to become a soldier. She responded by saying that it wasn't unusual for women to have something they want to protect, and she told Hix not to think of himself as weak.
At the end of the war, she fought against Barbarossa alongside Tir and won. She retired from military service and became keeper of the McDohl household afterwards.
